About iGamingZona

A reference on the gambling industry, written for people who work in it or alongside it and need the structure to be right.

Last reviewed 27 October 2026

What it is

iGamingZona records how the gambling industry is put together: which jurisdictions license what, which authorities supervise them, which companies occupy which position in the supply chain, and how the mechanics of licensing, taxation, certification, payments, pricing and marketing actually work.

It is a reference rather than a publication. Nothing appears here because it happened recently; entries exist because the fact is worth recording, and each one carries the date its data was last reviewed.

Who it is for

  • People working in the industry who need to understand a market, a regulator or a counterparty quickly.
  • People working alongside it in law, payments, compliance, advertising, sport or public policy.
  • Journalists and researchers who need the structure explained without the vocabulary getting in the way.
  • Anyone trying to understand why gambling rules differ so sharply between countries that look similar.

What it does not do

No gambling is offered here. No stakes are accepted, no games are hosted, no operator is promoted, no affiliate link is published and no entry can be bought. There are no rankings, no ratings and no recommendations, because a secondary source is not in a position to make them responsibly.

Nothing on this site is legal, financial or commercial advice. For anything with a consequence, the regulator's own current publication is the source to rely on. The method is set out here and the editorial standards here.

How it is organised

Five sections, cross-linked rather than separate. Market profiles record jurisdictions. Regulators record the authorities. The directory records companies by sector. Explainers cover the mechanics. The glossary defines the vocabulary, including the terms the industry uses without defining.
