The business that took over Microgaming's content operation, combining a studio network with aggregation.
Microgaming was one of the oldest names in online casino software and in 2022 its content business was separated and continued as Games Global. The company distributes games from a large network of independent studios alongside content it owns, which makes it both a supplier and a route to market for others.
It also operates the progressive jackpot network built around Mega Moolah, one of the longest-running pooled jackpots in the industry and the mechanism behind several of the largest recorded online slot wins. A pooled network of that kind is a substantial asset in itself, because jackpot size depends on the number of players contributing, which a single operator cannot reach alone.
The companies that design and build the games themselves, principally slots. They are paid a share of the revenue their games generate rather than a licence fee, which is why a studio's commercial fortunes depend on a small number of titles performing across many operators.
