Big Time Gaming
The Australian studio that invented Megaways and licensed it to much of the industry.

A studio defined by extreme volatility and deliberately uncomfortable themes.
Nolimit City built an identity around mathematics that most studios avoid: very high volatility, large maximum win multiples, and features that remove the base game's safety entirely. Its titles are the standard example used to explain what volatility means in practice, because the same theoretical return can be delivered either as frequent small wins or as long droughts punctuated by rare large ones.
Its art direction is as distinctive as its maths, and it has twice been the subject of licensing problems in regulated markets over theme content, which is a reminder that certification covers more than fairness: several regulators review the subject matter of a game before it can be offered.
The studio was acquired by Evolution in 2022 and continues to release under its own name.
The companies that design and build the games themselves, principally slots. They are paid a share of the revenue their games generate rather than a licence fee, which is why a studio's commercial fortunes depend on a small number of titles performing across many operators.
